Bad News

Hey People,

i know you didn't hear from me for a long time. Well there wasn't so much going on. Getting used to the German culture again and working and studying. Oh well i started missing animals and horses after a while, so i went to a club near by and started, what a surprise to vault again.

Last month was the first competiton for the season and everything was going great. We had a clear compulsory and the freestyle was going good too. On my dismount on then i injured myself. The knee cracked so loudly i still have that sound in my head... One day later i went to the emergency room because it was getting big and i couldn't walk.

So i have something on my front cruciate ligament (this is how Google translater says its called). So i'm getting physical therapy and aren't allowed to do any sport. It's frustrating but what can i do?!?

Hope it's getting better and it can be fixed that i can do sports without any trouble again.

Clinic at CEV

After the Nationals we, Stellars Stars, drove up to Fort Collins one Saturday instead of our weekly Pony Club. There are practising the Complete Equestrian Vaulters at their main coaches Nicole Collins barn. After the horses were ready and a warm-up, they got split up in groups and got to work together on the barrels, maths and horses.

Sadly i don't have pictures again because i was lunging...

But it was great meeting amazing people and have fun!

Thank you so much for having us!

Nationals

On July 18th &19th were the National Championchips of the United States of America in Loveland, CO.

I was so excited when i saw the schedule some days before and couldn't wait to drive up there and watch. This was all I did...

It was awesome seeing all those great athletes and beautiful horses.

Also I went with some Vaulters from "my" Club, Stellars Stars and enjoyed my time there a lot.

Mostly i recorded the performances but this time i have some pictures, finally.

Regional Championchips Region IV

That one weekend was a huge competition for the Region IV! It was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We drove down there, slipped through hail and I got very mad for what i apologized later. Just Organisation....and it's so obvious that i don't say a word about it sometimes.

After i knew the horses were OK, we went to the Hotel, had dinner there and talked quite a bit.

Next morning was early wakeup time. Did my volunteerjob after the horses had breakfast and we had a little practise. Then it was already turn for the Vaulters in Copper. So i went in with the other girls from Stellars Centaurs  Vaulters and it was her turn first again.

Then it was mine and i was doing Ok but my stand wasn't that good.

After Lunchbreak it was our young trotters turn and walk. Also Barrel and Barrel Pairs for which some of them got my help. Others just didn't show up for practise or didn't show it...well Barrelclasses are for fun and this we definitly had.

Some of the classes finished already and they got their awards during a crazy rough rain came down. You didn't unterstand you own word in the arena...

For dinner we went to a mexican restaurant at the Plaza there and i enjoyed that i got to see a little bit of Albuquerque. Oh and the food was awesome! Just forgot that it was a while ago when i ate spicy...

Next morning was a little hectical because we thought the arena opens 30minutes later than it did...well, everything worked out fine.

Also I checked the results and i took 2nd place from the 10vaulters in the compround....i was surprised to see that!

Then the last round, freestyle came up and i did it like i practised...

That day were Teams, gold, silver and the trot freestyles also. Had fun watching but if you are there with a Club and horses you don't have much time to see other Vaulters... But luckily some time and at the end i got a ribbon for the 4th place over all! So in my freestyle i got 6th and the scores were crazy...(still don't get used to it) pretty happy with that! Love Calypso, she was cantering so nicely for me!

There were nice Regionals in New Mexico with a touch of their culture and weather. I enjoyed it there

Mayfest, Golden CO 2015

Octoberfest 2014
Octoberfest 2014

Sadly I don't have pictures from Mayfest, because i forgot it and was busy....sorry for that!

Because i practised since August on Calypso I wanted to present her on a competition. But she got kicked from another Horse two days before, so i couldn't compete on her. Since I  have entered i drove up and did my volunteerjob at the music. ( the competitions in the US are on Fairgrounds and not at barns from a Club. So everybody has to help that there is a competition!)

Then I heard that i'm allowed to start on a Horse from Mile High! Very nice of them! After a little warmup I ran in with two Vaulters from the Mile High Club and one with who i practised from Stellars. She couldn't Mount so i had to give her a boost before it was my turn. It was OK and i was fine with it because it was just for fun.

Next day was freestyle. Was with the same Vaulters like the day before and the same Horse. Before my turn i had to give a boost again and when it was my turn, the judges called us and they explained that i got disqualified! If you approach a Horse....didn't know that so i did my freestyle just for scores. Since i'm used to the german scores i was surprised to see so good notes.....

Also other Vaulters from the Club started in walk. They were able to go on a horse from Complete Equestian Vaulters, which was very nice of them! Also we got to see a lot of good Vaulters and i enjoyed it a lot!

Everything about the older competition and events you can read under "Au Pair year".
